Maria Becker went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2016 in Poway, CA after a long illness.
She had moved to Lucerne Valley with her husband Rudolf and two children in 1968. Maria was a professional seamstress and won so many first place awards at the San Bernardino County Fair for her sewing and knitting that they made her a judge of sewing crafts.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Rudolf Becker. She is survived by her two children, Paul, 53 of Riverside, CA and Renate, 51, of Gridley CA. She also has 5 grandson and 8 great-grandsons.

Lorretta Quinn-Schwartz was born in Los Angeles to John and Elizabeth Quinn and grew up in Glendale.
She served as a Pasadena Police Officer for 25 years. During her time as a police officer she worked in the juvenile department, dispatch and auto theft.
During her last 10 years on the force she lived in Lucerne Valley and drove two hours each way to work.
John L. Westbrook, 88, of Lucerne Valley, passed away July 4, 2016.
He was born in Los Angeles on March 16, 1928. John graduated from Bell High School and he was drafted from high school to serve in the Armed Forces. He served three years in the U.S. Army in Italy and Germany at Tempelhof Air Field during the "Berlin Air Lift."
He was married to Norma Jean Telfer on March 9, 1951. They were marred for 65 years.
A testament to true love, Dorothy Marie Wilson and JD Wilson passed away 10 days apart - proving that they could not live without each other.
JD Wilson was born on March 27, 1924 in Ontario, California to (Mary) Pearl and John Wilson. He passed away on April 4, 2016 in Apple Valley, California surrounded by his family.
Dorothy Marie was born on June 12, 1934 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Hattie and Paul Davis. After her father passed away, Dorothy was loved and raised by Max Dean. She passed away on April 14, 2016 in Apple Valley, California surrounded by her family.
Zane F. Clark passed Tuesday night March 1, 2016 at her residence of the care of her son Robert, Diane Ketchum, Francine Fisher, Michael Ketchum and Samuel Ketchum.
Our Mom was the hostess with the mostest. She had 76 of us with children, and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as three great-great grandchildren.
She was a member of Calvary Bible Church. Service will be March 20, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church.
Our beloved mother Anna Marie Olivas of Lucerne Valley passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the age of 81 years old of natural causes in her sleep.
She was loved by many and will be missed by many.
She leaves behind two daughters, one son and more than 30 grandchildren.
May she rest in paradise with the rest of our loved ones in heaven.
Herbert A. Carpenter, 93, died in his home here in Lucerne Valley, after a short illness.
Herb (as he was known) was born on June 18, 1922 in Gardena, Ca. He was the youngest of four children. Herb graduated from Gardena High School in 1941. In 1945 he married his school classmate, Evelyn Delight who was also born and raised in Gardena, CA.
Herb worked at McDonald Douglas Aircraft for 32 years until his retirement. Herbert and Evelyn raised their two children, Greg and Susie in their home in Lakewood, Ca.

Longtime Lucerne Valley resident Chuck Rader passed away November 26, 2015.
Charles (Chuck) Frederick Rader Jr. was born October 3, 1927, in San Luis Obispo, California.
Chuck is survived by Martha, his wife of 59 years, their four sons, Bob Rader, David Rader, Richard Rader of Lucerne Valley and Edward Rader of Redlands, as well as 9 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
