JOHNSON VALLEY • Three Hesperia teenagers were killed by a suspected drunk driver in a head-on collision Saturday night, according to a report from the San Bernardino County Coroner.

Tyler Shane Correll, 18, of Hesperia, was driving a 2001 Saturn sedan southbound on Old Woman Springs Road (Highway 247) in the Johnson Valley area at about 8:10 p.m., the report stated.

A northbound 2012 Chevy Silverado pickup truck apparently tried to pass several other vehicles and collided head-on with the car, killing Correll along with 17-year-old Jordan La Rocque of Hesperia and 18-year-old Ruben Ramos of Hesperia.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, but the driver’s name was not immediately released by authorities.
