BOOKING (CONT. SUBSTANCE, WARRANT): On Dec. 28 at 10:36 p.m. in the 31000 area of Furst Street, 42-year-old Joshua David Moore of Lucerne Valley was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and a $75,000 misdemeanor warrant related to a charge of public intoxication. Moore was cited and released the next day.
BOOKING (WARRANTS): On Dec. 26 at 2:30 a.m. in an unspecified area of Blake Road, 41-year-old Michael Frazier of Lucerne Valley was arrested on a $25,000 misdemeanor warrant related to a charge of retail petty theft and another $25,000 misdemeanor warrant related to a charge of public intoxication. Frazier was released later the same day.
BOOKING (WARRANT): On Dec. 26 at 2:30 a.m. in the 31000 area of Furst Street, 53-year-old Calvin Lee Sisk of Lucerne Valley was arrested on a $5,000 misdemeanor warrant related to three vehicle code charges including driving on a suspended or revoked license. Sisk was released later the same day.
BOOKING (REFUSAL TO COMPLY): On Dec. 24 at 11:37 p.m. in the 31000 area of Highway 18, a deputy attempted to stop a quad bike for a suspected vehicle code violation. When the deputy activated his patrol car lights, the driver of the quad, later identified as 42-year-old Robert James Apodaka of Lucerne Valley, allegedly accelerated. The bike malfunctioned and the driver jumped off of it. The deputy’s car then made contact with the quad, tipping the quad on its side.
According to the deputy’s report, Apodaka was told several times to get down on the ground before finally complying. Apodaka was arrested on suspicion of willfully refusing to comply with a lawful order or direction from a peace officer. Apodaka was booked at the Victor Valley Jail and later released.
BOOKING (CONT. SUBSTANCE): On Dec. 23 at 11:24 p.m. on Barstow Road in Lucerne Valley, a deputy stopped a vehicle for having no tail lights. After the stop, the passenger took off running into the desert. The passenger was believed to be Wesley Burrows, who had a warrant out for his arrest. Burrows is a white male who was last seen running through an open field near the elementary school.
The deputy searched the vehicle and found a backpack containing ammunition, suspected burglary tools, suspected methamphetamine and Burrows’ identification card. The driver, 26-year-old Jimmie Michelle Goldsworthy of Lucerne Valley, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Goldsworthy was cited and released.
