LUCERNE VALLEY • A local man was airlifted with a broken leg on June 14 after his motorcycle collided with a sedan on Old Woman Springs Road (Highway 247).
Victor Moreno, 65, broke his right femur in the crash, which occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Old Woman Springs Road just west of Visalia Avenue.
Moreno was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center by a California Highway Patrol helicopter. Further updates on his condition were not available.
Moreno was headed eastbound behind a sedan that was also heading east. Moreno’s motorcycle T-boned the car after the car attempted to make a left turn.
CHP Officer Chris Mensinger said Moreno told him the car put on its right turn signal, then made a sudden left turn. But the driver of the car, 72-year-old Jaihoon Yoo of Escondido, told Mensinger he put on his left turn signal before making the turn.
The incident was being investigated by the CHP.
