At approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday a red 2002 Honda dirt bike was reported stolen from the 9600 block of Palomar Trail. The owner did not know when the bike was stolen, and a report was taken.
Around 3 p.m. Saturday a man was caught shoplifting cookies and carrot cake from the deli at the Lucerne Valley Market and Hardware store.
After much dispute as to whether the man brought the items into the store with him or stole them, the man later admitted to taking the carrot cake, but only by accident. He was booked at the Victor Valley Jail on suspicion of petty theft.
A caller reported his home being vandalized by a group of neighborhood kids he believe broke a window on the front porch of his home.
Around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, the caller reported the vandalism which he believes happened about two weeks ago.
Around 8:30 p.m. Friday a caller reported that a family member tried to hit her and said that the next time he hit her he was going to “put her in the grave.”
Authorities said there had been a history of physical abuse against the caller.
A vehicle stolen from Los Angeles was recovered around 5:45 p.m. Friday, about a year after it was reported stolen.
The vehicle, which had been repainted, was found at Camp Rock and East End Roads, and callers said it had been parked there for two days.
Around 9:30 a.m. Friday a caller said that he had been the victim of copper theft, as several feet of copper were taken from the area of Foothill and Ariza Trail Roads.
Someone had cut a chain-link fence to gain entry to the property and forced open two electrical panels to get the wire.
